Bikini Beaches this fall!
Summer 2015 has been a blast but now it’s coming to an end. But does that mean you have to stop going to the beach? Absolutely not. Especially considering it’s time for summer in the Southern Hemisphere! Imagine that: the Gold Coast in Australia, sunshine and warmth in the Maldives, warm water and pina coladas in Andaman and Nicobar. So pick up your swimsuits and wade out because this summer can go on forever if you let it!
- Coronado Beach, California, United States
Not very exotic, but a great choice for those who are budgeting and want something a little light on the pockets. Very close to San Diego so you can always check out the zoo and the aquarium, making it a good choice for a whole family getaway. Main attractions include a leash-free dog beach so you can bring your best friend with you, along with your best girls’ bikinis. The beach also offers tide pools, fire rings, surfing and is great for sunbathing. Make sure to stock up on your swimwear for girls so you can swim and tan.
- Myrtos, Kefalonia Greece
Greece is an absolutely gorgeous country and the Myrtos beach in north-west Kefalonia is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It may not host as many people as it does in summer, but this can only be a good thing. Who wants to share the beach with hundreds of people? It is still an incredibly attractive place, surrounded by lush green hills. So pack up your swimsuits girls and hop on a plane to Greece! Getting to the place isn’t difficult at all, even though it is on an island separate from the mainland.
- Tavarua, Fiji
The view isn’t just great from the beach; it’s great from above too! The island is shaped like a heart reportedly, and is surrounded by a coral reef. The island is pretty tiny, only 29 acres but hosts a variety of activities for those who love the ocean. It offers sailboarding, kite-surfing, diving, fishing and snorkeling. If extreme sports isn’t your thing, just slap on some sunscreen and your cutest girls bikini and just relax on the beach. You don’t even have to organize travel from Fiji to the island; there are island boats and Fijian surf guides ready to take you all year round.
- Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
One of the most famous beaches in the world (and with a well-deserved reputation) it is also known for its parties. You’ll be surprised to hear that it’s also considered a hipster beach, with a roving population of hippies, artists and left wing partisans. Beer is sold everywhere, as well as traditional Brazilian alcohol. The beach is divided by postos (posts) which lead to different sub-cultures on the beach itself. The waters can get dangerous however, so swim only if the locals consider it to be safe. Better pack up your best girls swimsuits as Ipanema attracts a hugely attractive crowd whole year round.
- Coral Bay, Papos, Cyprus
Right next to the famed Aphrodite Hills, a resort in Paphos, Coral Bay is a beach for the family. There are air-conditioned buses to the beach from Paphos itself and the beach has a number of cafes and showers so you can easily spend the day there. The water is clean and warm all year round. There are also loads of rustic taverns offering authentic Greek food, so you won’t feel like you’re visiting just another tourist destination. There are plenty of water activities so remember your swimming suits!
- Point Reyes, California, United States
There are plenty of beaches in California, but this region offers some of the most pristine, untouched beaches in the country. There is plenty to do here, as the Point Reyes National Seashore is vast and beaches aren’t the only option. However, the beaches are spectacular, particularly in September when the weather gets a little warmer. The activities offered are varied, such as kayaking, beachcombing, sunbathing etc. Heart’s Desire Beach is well-known for its warmer water so making it a nice place for kids and adults alike to swim. You might not need your girls bikini for this region, but a swimsuit for girls is a must!
- Whitehaven Beach, Queensland, Australia
7 kilometers of soft, white sand for you to sink your feet into and for kids to build castles out of. The beach is situated in the center of the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s greatest natural sights. Hamilton Island offers a number of ways to get to the beach, including seaplanes, helicopters and sailing on a yacht. Sailing and snorkeling are the most popular activities as the marine life is quite fascinating to watch and the water is crystal clear. This beach is best visited around November to March, so if you’re looking for something to do this Christmas you know where to go! But always remember your girls swimsuits and girls bikinis as there is nothing quite like relaxing on miles and miles of beautiful white sand with nothing but the sound of waves to keep you company.
